Do you want to make a difference in the lives of youth? Do you want a rewarding career working for one of the 2021-2023 AJC Top Workplaces?
If you answered yes, then Goshen Valley Foundation maybe for you!
Goshen Valley Boys Ranch, a division of Goshen Valley Foundation, is located on 160 acres in northern Cherokee County and is home to around 40 young men in foster care and is currently seeking mission-minded married couples who feel called to ministering to youth in a residential setting. Couples like Al and Brittany:
“My husband and I felt the call into ministry over 15 years ago. He was working in each of us before we knew he was working in us together. Our hearts were for youth that were hurting, broken, and longing for restored hope and purpose. He put in us a passion to live out Jeremiah 1:27, ‘Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.’
We have been to several places over the last 13 years of our ministry through Houseparenting and no other place has quite felt like home. There is healing here at Goshen, not just for the youth, but for the adults too. Goshen is inviting, beautiful, and filled with like-minded people willing to serve as God leads. We love it is like one big family, not always happy, but always willing to walk through the frontlines together. We are thankful God has equipped us in a way we get to do this ministry every day. Every day, we get to walk alongside the youth God brings to us, helping them overcome their trauma, and showing them the love of God. We live for not only the fun memories that come from this, but even those that are challenging that help bring growth.”
While most group homes have shift workers, our proven model is focused on creating an environment that feels as much like family as possible. As a houseparent at Goshen, you are the centerpiece of a team focused on ministering to 6-8 boys between the ages of 8-18. You help us achieve our mission of “Peace and Purpose” by creating a home environment that feels like a family…not an institution.
At a time when other facilities are struggling with turnover, Goshen Valley is blessed to have a stable team environment where our houseparents are invested in and supported. In addition to competitive compensation and fully paid benefits, our houseparents also enjoy the support of key staff for the Recreation, Medical, and Educational needs of the youth.
We know that for our children to succeed, we need our team to succeed. If you feel the call to serve youth, we invite you to see the Goshen difference and investigate how you can join in our mission of Peace and Purpose.
