Solid Rock Ranch is a private, non-profit, certified foster care facility. Our
mission is to provide a quality Christian home for children ages of 6-17 who have been
abused, abandoned or neglected. The 25 acre facility is located on the beautiful Central
Coast of California, approximately an hour north of Santa Barbara, and is comprised of
two homes (each of which accommodates up to six children and their house parents), a
recreational/multi-purpose facility, farmyard, garden, amphitheater and athletic field,
and is intended to provide a stable, warm, non-institutional home for children.
We are currently seeking a committed Christian couple to serve as house parents. This
couple will be responsible for the care of up to six children's physical, emotional,
spiritual, educational, social and discipline needs and will be expected to facilitate
healthy relationships and communications with all members of the Solid Rock Ranch team,
including social workers and referral agencies.
Applicants must be willing to be active with the children and to perform light ranch
chores (no experience required in that department however). Most importantly, though, we
are looking for a couple that is motivated to undertaking this challenging position
because of a desire to advance the Christian ministry of the Ranch by touching the lives
of children in need.

We serve children between the ages of 6 and 21 that have been neglected, abused
or are hurting because of family conflict.
Our 126 acre facility we have a non-denominational chapel and several recreational
facilities (including a gym, horses, two ponds for fishing and playing fields).
We help hurting children become young men using the many resources available to us.
Perhaps the most important resource is our houseparents.
We are looking for professional individuals who want to make a difference in a
child's life and serve as a positive role model. Houseparents are responsible for
carrying out comprehensive treatment plans, supervising personal care, positive emotional
development, general health and safety, educational progress and working collaboratively
with other members of the team.
This position requires an associates or bachelors degree or an equivalent level of
background and experience in a related field. The successful applicant must be 25 years
or older and have a good driving record. Criminal background checks will be performed and
acceptable results are required.
Starting wage is $7.25 per hour during a 90 day probationary period. We offer an

Olive Crest is seeking Safe Family Parents to provide stability and a positive role
model to at risk children in our Children's Ranch in Coachella, CA. Safe Family
Parents are responsible for meeting the emotional, physical, material and spiritual needs
of placed children.
Requirements for both parents:
- Be married for at least one year
- Ability to accept and integrate children into the family
- Exhibit quality relationships with own children as applicable
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of adequately caring for children
- Criminal Record Clearance and good driving record required
Although this is a volunteer position, we do provide paid housing and utilities (some
limitations apply) in one of our beautiful new homes at the Children's Center, as
well as reimbursement for food, supplies, clothing and other household expenses of up to
$1200 per month. Additional Reimbursement of up to $500 per month for each placed
child.
One parent should be available as a stay at home parent; the other should be able to
obtain outside employment to cover personal expenses (teachers especially are encouraged
to apply as there may be a possibility of employment with our new charter school -
dependent upon openings and qualifications). Families with children and pets will be
considered; however, in order to allow adequate space for program children, typically we
will only consider families with two or less children at home.
