Job Description: |
We are currently seeking Christian married couples at least 25 years of
age to work with and provide a family environment for 4-6 individuals with developmental
disabilities. Applicants must have a high school diploma, a valid driver's license with
an excellent driving record, and a working knowledge of computers. Ideal candidates will
have some prior experience, Mandt/Zero Tolerance/PMI or equivalent training, current CPR
and First Aid certifications, and medication administration training.
Duties include:
- Supervising/teaching daily living skills, providing family support and supervision.
- Coordinating and providing transportation to medical appointments, community activities, church, etc.
- Dispensing medications. Maintaining accurate inventories and record keeping.
- Maintaining accurate daily/weekly/monthly records.
- General facility supervision; including shopping, meal planning and preparation, general housekeeping, minor repairs and scheduling other maintenance. Regular household vehicle upkeep and keeping up with required scheduled maintenance.
House Parents work a minimum 56 hour weekly shift that equals 3&1/2 days on and 3&1/2 days off.
Benefits include health insurance, vacation time, comfortable living quarters, meals and vehicle
use while on duty.
**Please note: House Parents are not permitted to have their children at the BASCA home
while on duty. We are also a non-smoking facility, and pets are not allowed.

eight children of varying ages and sex. The duty schedule is twenty-eight days on duty, and six days off. Palmer
Houseparents are expected to have the spiritual discipline and maturity to lead regular devotions and instruct the

Miracle Hill Children's Home is an extension of Miracle Hill Ministries which exists to ensure
that those most in need receive food, shelter, and compassion while hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ and becoming

Our children's ministry currently has three long-term residential cottages which exist to help boys ages 11-18 make
responsible choices. Each cottage serves 6-8 boys and is staffed with four people in order to provide continuity
of care for the children and adequate rest for staff.
Miracle Hill uses Cornell University's C.A.R.E Curriculum (Children and Residential Experiences). This curriculum

CLO offers residential services in small Supervised Apartment settings. These services
are generally more specialized for persons who have a greater need for some occasional support in the areas of
money, home, medication, medical, work and self management. Individuals served within the Supervised Apartment
Program may need some support at varying times of the day or night and the live-in support provided by staff and
the Family Teaching Couple provide the "as needed" support that many individuals may desire and need.
The Supervised Apartment program is overseen by a Live-in Family Teaching Couple and is staffed 24-hours per day.
The Supervised Apartment Program allows consumers to learn and practice independent living skills in a supportive,
supervised setting. These living arrangements generally offer a staff ratio of 1:3 persons. A Quality of Life Plan
is developed for each individual, along with an individualized schedule of preferred daily activities. Clinical
supports are provided as needed to each person served by CLO's nursing and behavior staff.
Rent and Utilities are paid for by CLO. A company vehicle is available during work hours.
CLO expects the same Quality of Life outcomes within its Supervised Apartment Program as
within its Family Teaching and Extended Family Teaching homes. Each Supervised Apartment is provided teaching and
oversight by a Home Coach and Behavior Specialist to achieve the expected outcomes.
