 Sheridan House Family Ministries offers a unique opportunity to serve Christ by serving children and families. As houseparents, ministry is taken to a new level as you work together with your spouse to instill a Christ-centered worldview in the residents and their parents. Located on a 57 acre campus, you will be working with at-risk-teens. These teens live with us during the week and go home to their families on weekends, holidays and vacations. Each home has a full time behavioral specialist as part of the ministry team. Parents of residents are required to attend parent training and counseling. The position includes a competitive salary, private apartment, benefits, retirement plan, food, medical, dental and life insurance.

 LifeHouse Houseparents are called of God, committed to serve, willing to work to create a Godly Christian home atmosphere, firm but loving in relationships, understand that many women come with problems associated with men, authority figures, and deep hurts.

Basic Duties: To work, minister, and live with pregnant women; to model the love of Christ through their actions and lifestyle to teens and young women in crisis. The couple is not just a mother and father, but are role models of a healthy, loving Biblically-based married team. They provide love with structure for women who may have had little of either in their lives. Houseparent will work 8 days than be relieved by another set of Houseparents for 4 days. It is an 8 days on then 4 days off schedule.

Qualifications:
1. Married and committed Christian couple.
2. Active in the Christian community.
3. Maturity sufficient to assume the responsibilities for young women in care.
4. Good spiritual, physical, and emotional health.
5. Bachelor level degree preferred but not required.

Casa de Esperanza de los Ninos, the House of Hope for Children, is seeking Married Couples and Individuals to provide residential foster care to very young children, from birth to six years of age. Our ten agency homes, newly constructed in 2008, are co-located on four acres near the Texas Medical Center. Each home cares for between three and six children. BCFS Health & Human Services has openings for live-in married couples who want the opportunity to work together as a couple and have a strong desire to be parents to 8-10 youth ranging in the ages of 8-17 who need structure, guidance, educational, spiritual, and moral development. Assistant House-Parents are needed to work with the House-Parent and provide the care for the youth when the House-Parents are not on duty. This is not a live in position, but will require two overnights per week. Assistant House Parents earn $22,000 per year plus overtime.

Responsibilities include a professional team-oriented approach to behavioral management while providing a safe and accepting environment for youth.
