Job Description: |
Safe Harbor Boys Home/Maritime Academy, a program for struggling adolescent boys is looking for 3 single men, ages 25 & up, who are dedicated Christians, to work and pour their life and energy into the lives of hurting teenagers. Will consider couples without children.
Safe Harbor is located in Jacksonville, Fl on the St. John’s River. All staff & boys live aboard vessels, power & sail, from 28 feet to a 114 foot yacht. Program activities center around the waterfront but include a variety of vocational programs. Academics are conducted on campus, program activities include individual & family counseling and group counseling led by our licensed counseling staff. The residents & staff have separate quarters.
All positions are salaried with health insurance, vacation, housing, utilities, laundry, food, and other unwritten “perks” included. Residential staff work a rotating schedule and must be willing to serve nights, weekends, and holidays if required. This is a working & active program therefore physically fit individuals are required, if you have sailing or boating experience that is a plus.

Responsibilities:
A live-in salaried position providing intensive treatment for a family in a therapeutic home. The support worker would provide support to the family by assisting them with skills such as problem solving, positive parenting, budgeting, advocacy, understanding and facilitating child development, and other skills which will increase the family’s ability to set attainable goals and experience success.
Qualifications:
A degree or diploma in a related field, or experience working with at risk children and/or families, related experience is an asset.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with community partners and professionals.
Excellent ability to develop strong working relationships with families, provide strength-based services and, and advocate for children and families.
Ability to be responsible to the program 365 days a year (regular days off and holidays provided)
Able to supervise staff
Current First Aid/CPR certification
Valid driver’s license, and current driver’s abstract

Seeking couples/Individuls for full and part-time House Parent and Resident Care Worker positions to live in a home with 8 adolescents (boys ages 10 to 17 years old) in Sunfield, MI. The selected individuals will be responsible for care and well-being of youth who reside in the home. House Parents/Resident Care Worker will work a shift that is 24 hours in length for a scheduled period of time with regular days off.

The HPs work a 4 days on 4 days off schedule. During their 4 days on, they live in the cottage with the boys. We are seeking Professional House Parents (multiple locations in northern NJ, close to NYC) to provide therapeutic foster care for 4-6 teenagers with backgrounds of abuse and neglect. Candidates need to be in a committed relationship, role models able to provide a loving and stable family home life. We pay a salary and benefits to one stay-at-home parent, while the co-parent is not an employee of the agency and may work outside the home. You must secure your co-parent’s support when applying and both of you should be committed to creating a supportive home environment and playing an active role in the lives of the youth in your care. Respite care and a full-time youth counselor are provided. We welcome couples of all ages unless they have children less than 14 years of age.
Requirements: 21 years of age; high school diploma; valid driver’s license and a good driving history; must secure own co-parent. Servicing trouble children for over 31 years, Teaching Family Homes provides care for children starting at the age of 5 through 18 with the hope of the children returning to their families or transition into foster care homes. We are a non-profit organization and are located in Marquette, Michigan on the shore of Lake Supervisor.

Job Description: |
Looking for married couples interested in helping kids and providing change. Being a treatment foster parent can be a very rewarding experience. The couple will be licensed and provide care for 1-3 male or female youth in their home; the youth are in custody of the Division of Child and Family Services or the Division of Juvenile Justice. The couple will be trained and supported 24 hours a day by a Consultant. The couple will teach social skills and use a token economy system to reinforce positive behaviors in the home. The couple will provide nuturing care and enforce the Utah Youth Village program rules and structure. The foster parents will be taught how to reinforce positive behavior, correct negative behavior, and how to teach social skills.
The daily pay will depend on how many youth the couple help in their home (maximum is 3) and the behaviors the youth exhibit. The starting rate is $31.50 per youth per day with incentives. Youth may have been removed from their natural home because of parents abuse/neglect, or ungovernable behaviors such as not showing respect, using drugs, or truancy.

Central Oklahoma Juvenile Center (COJC) is located in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. It has been operational since 1917.
COJC provides care, guidance, discipline, education, rehabilitation and reintegration services for male and female youth between the ages of 12-19. Residents of COJC have been adjudicated by the court as a Delinquent or Youthful Offender, are in the custody of the Office of Juvenile Affairs and meet the requirements for placement in a medium-secure facility.

Youth Guidance Specialist: Positions in this job family are involved in providing direct care and supervision to the residents. This includes providing para-professional guidance and counseling to residents, interventions to control aggressive behaviors, documentation of behaviors and activities.
Juvenile Security Officers: Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving law enforcement at the facility. This includes walking patrols, rule enforcement, and providing protection for residents and staff.
Minimum qualifications for both positions: 21 years of age, High School Diploma or GED and valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
