Job Description:  

Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services is seeking Home Parents in Itasca, Texas.

The home parent couple provides direct care services for the children in placement at Presbyterian Children's Homes and Services. The home parents will work two weeks on and one week off.

Essential Job Functions:
Provide 24-hour, 7-day-a-week coverage for children placed in a group home for extended periods of time.
Supervise daily living habits of children, training new skills as necessary or desirable.
Supervise children in various activities, in cooperation with other staff members, assist in chaperoning or sponsoring off-campus activities.
Participate actively in case planning and service implementation for each child living in the assigned area.

The New Mexico Christian Children's Home is currently seeking married couples for House Parents in Training. Attend to youth’s medical physical condition caring for youth during illness, scheduling medical appointments and transporting youth to appointments, distribute and maintain medication logs. Provide emotional and moral support utilizing praise, feedback, and empathy to support youth. Serves as role model for youth by exhibiting skills taught in program. Attend court and conferences with teachers and counselors on behalf of youth and supervise parental visits.
