Job Description:  

The Houseparent Couple will live full-time in a beautiful home provided by Champion Oaks Ranch.  The couple will provide a loving, stable, Christian home environment for up to six boys, age 8-12 years.  A licensed Professional Counselor, Assistant Counselors and Champion Oaks Ranch staff members will support the Houseparent Couple.  For a couple to be considered, the couple must be a husband and wife who are each a minimum of twenty-five years of age, legally married for a minimum of three years and have no more than one child living at home.  Bi-lingual is a plus, but not required.  The Houseparent Couple needs general knowledge of farm life, horses and other livestock.  No previous experience required.  The Houseparent Couple must have a calling to work in a Christian ministry, preferably with children, and be committed to the cause for a minimum of two years.

Job Description:  

Firm Foundation Youth Homes is a faith based community of trauma-informed and family-centered homes for Arizona’s foster children.   Our goal is to end the cycle of trauma in their lives by giving these children a foundation of trust in their hearts that they can use to create healthy relationships. 

We are looking for Christian, servant-minded couples to care for and nurture Arizona's foster children. Responsibilities include all responsibilities of a parent including material, physical, spiritual, emotional, and disciplinary needs. 

Other responsibilities include:
Assist up to 10 children by directing interactions, including behavioral management through Connecting principles (TBRI, Grace Based Parenting) 
Monitor and support children through academic progress
Transport clients to/from school, activities, appointments and religious options as necessary
Assist in managing House and Children’s schedule
Complete meal preparation, shopping and house cleaning, or delegate to support staff
Complete daily progress notes and other documentation
Facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills activities for all children 
Participate in monthly team meetings and agency wide trainings 
Maintain all AZ DES licensing standards
Represent FFYH in the community and through case management opportunities

Qualifications:
Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent, and two years of experience working with children and adolescents.  Preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Family Studies or related field and one year’s experience in foster/group home or residential treatment center management
At least 21 years old
Preferably having knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, TBRI, Grace Based Parenting
Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills
Ability to interact with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds, stay calm under pressure
Effective oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills
Ability to work flexible hours
Possess an operational vehicle and a valid driver’s license 
Able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card 
pass a criminal background check
CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hiring)
Character/Spiritual
Mature Christian, currently attending or pursuing attendance in a local church.

BrickHouse Family Ministries is a Christian residential home and school on a farm setting for teenage boys ages 13-17. We provide a Christ-centered program on a 40 acre cattle farm where teenagers in crisis are healed and restored to their families. BHFM is looking for a husband and wife team in a committed relationship for a full time Primary House Parent role. This is a central role to our ministry. They are the leaders of the home environment and set the tone for the residential atmosphere. Our BHFM House Parents reside with up to five teenage boys in a very unique and life changing environment. This couple works on a rotational schedule with Support House Parent(s). The Primary House Parents provide guidance, leadership, accountability, prayer support and stability for teenage boys besides working with the families. Their role is not to replace the teen’s parents but to promote the healing and restoration of teens to their parents and families, while providing an example of a healthy Christian home. This couple needs to have the spiritual and emotional strength and maturity to handle crisis situations always putting God first and emphasizing the safety of the staff and residents. Being on a farm setting, this position requires the husband to oversee the farm chores and facilities maintenance. Chores for the residents need to be mapped out weekly in a “hands-on” manner. The husband will work under the guidance of the farm manager and beside the farm store manager. BHFM has a farm store where our beef is sold with other high quality meat products. Our teens have the opportunity to learn work experience, life skills and Biblical principles to assist them in their growth into adulthood. The husband will be required to maintain and oversee the cleanliness of all vehicles used for BHFM. The husband will demonstrate the ability to be creative, handy, self-motivated and be able to take initiative and personal ownership for the home, farm, livestock and vehicles. Being in a home setting, this position requires the wife to handle the daily home chores, meals, and model a loving, nurturing home environment. Strong BHFM team environment. We are excited to announce the opening of a new Family Teaching Home in West Los Angeles and are seeking applications from committed couples to serve as "Houseparents" who will provide support to three clients to meet their physical, psychological and social needs. Committed couples can be married, domestic partners, long time live in partners or any relationship that demonstrates a commitment to each other in a long term, meaningful way. The three clients and the Houseparent Couple will be living in a duplex, with each residing in their own home.

The successful candidates must have a minimum of 5 years experience in management and direct support services for people with intellectual disabilities. Candidates must also have a clear background as evidenced by a DDS livescan, good driving record and a current CA driving license. Must be open to a flexible work schedule that does require some on-call backup as needed. A BA in the field of Social Services is desirable but not essential.

We are currently recruiting for married couples with good moral character, who are strongly committed to making a significant contribution to young people to fill Houseparent/Residential Child Care Specialists (RCCS) positions for both locations. The primary role of the Houseparent/RSSC is to oversee the day-to-day care and supervision of the children assigned to their cottage. Our houseparents are responsible for monitoring all aspects of daily cottage life and is, in essence, the primary caring persons for the child/youth during his/her stay at FUMCH. Houseparents work 7 days on shift and 7 days off, and live in a comfortable cottage with the children in a family setting while on shift.
