Job Description:  

 Provide parenting for boys in their care, while managing the care of the house and premises assigned to them. Provide care, counseling, guidance, tutoring, encouragement, spiritual and moral leadership and instruction, example, and support as needed by each boy assigned to their home. Work with boys in the areas of Faith, Family, Education, and Work ethic. Help each boy develop a sense of responsibility, respect for the rights and property of others, personal values and self-esteem, personal reliance on self and God, and a life plan and direction. Keep accurate daily records of activities, issues, and the individual progress of each boy. Manage a home budget with Christian Stewardship.

Job Description:  

 Salem Ranch is in need of a houseparent couple who desire to minister to challenging teenage boys. Located on 100 acres in rural Central Illinois, we seek to provide a biblically-based family teaching model to the boys entrusted to us.

We combine biblical counseling with a boarding school, horse and vocational program in a structured environment, to provide these boys with the tools they need to return home to restored relationships.

Houseparents would be responsible for 6-10 boys living in one side of a cottage, while you would live in a three-bedroom apartment on the other side. Schedule would be approximately four 2-hour morning shifts followed by four 7.5 evening shifts per week.
