Houseparents Basic Duties:
This urban missionary opportunity requires Houseparents to work, minister, and live with pregnant women as well as model the love of Christ through personal actions and lifestyle to residents. Houseparents serve as role models of healthy, loving Biblically based people. They provides love with structure for women who may have had little of either in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take responsibility for the day-to-day activities of the home and care of the young women.
• Maintain a comfortable and clean house, with the assistance of the residents.
• Help the women meet appointments and other responsibilities.
• Enforce family guidelines and discipline in loving manner.
• Participate actively in interviews and the admission/intake process.
• Schedule various activities for the home, including classes, recreation, and special programs.
• Be willing to assist women through labor and delivery.

Work Schedule:
Houseparents will serve as full-time employees while living on the LifeHouse property. They will work 6 days on/3 days off rotation. A Relief Houseparent will provide coverage for days off.

Qualifications:
• A committed Christian couple who is active in the Christian community.
• Maturity sufficient to assume the responsibilities for young women in care.
• Good spiritual, physical, and emotional health. Must have annual physical including a TB skin test (cost covered by LifeHouse).
• Education, training, and experience sufficient for the position duties. Previous experience in working with unwed mothers is preferred.
• Have no substantiated report as perpetrator of neglect or abuse
• A 2-year commitment for this position is preferred.

Salary and Compensation
The base salary base range for this position is between $18,000 - $22,000. The position also includes a rent-free 2 bedroom apartment, board (meals) while on duty, utilities, basic cable, cell phone, vacation, medical insurance (with a 60-day probationary period), and in-service training.

Position Summary: The family teaching couple provides direct supervision and care to a home of eight youth. Vera Lloyd utilizes a program approach adapted from the family teaching model. Services provided youth are trauma informed, strength-based and client-centered.

Requirements: This position requires a bachelor's degree in social work or a bachelor's degree in another human service field with at least 2 years of relevant youth work experience. Individuals who are actively pursuing a bachelor's degree combined with applicable experience are eligible for employment as family teachers. New hires in this situation must enroll in accredited university course work upon hire and initiate course work at the next available term. The Baptist Children’s Home in Oklahoma City is looking for a loving Christian married couple to be houseparents. Houseparents live in a three bedroom apartment located in the children’s cottage and provide all the care a nurturing parent provides for up to eight children at a time. Training is provided. A competitive salary plus housing, food, medical coverage, retirement and other benefits are provided. Houseparents work full time and get a week off every month plus another 21 days off during the year. Housefathers help with campus maintenance on weekday mornings. A 12 passenger van is provided for transporting the children.
Applicants must:
1. be actively involved in a Southern Baptist Church or a Baptist Church if a Southern Baptist church is not available.
2. be able to initiate the establishment of rapport and appropriate relationships with the children.
3. be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or its equivalent.

We are seeking an onsite faith based residential Couple for our Dunnellon, Fl. location - you and your spouse will be at the Heart of our Mission. You will live in our residential home creating a family environment for our at-risk kids aging 4-17. After completing our in-house training, you will take on a life-changing mission by guiding, counseling, and helping to meet the emotional, educational and daily needs of our at-risk youth.
