Position Salary:  

starting $70,000 annually per couple

Job Description:  

 Firm Foundation Youth Homes is a faith based trauma-informed and family-centered home for teen girls.

We are looking for a mission-minded couple to care for and nurture young people in Arizona's foster care system. Our team members need to be flexible, self-directed and patient. Preferably having knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, TBRI, Grace Based Parenting, Connected Parenting. Responsibilities include all those items and responsibilities of a parent including the provision of material, physical, spiritual, emotional, and disciplinary needs. This is a Live In position.
Other responsibilities include:

Assist the children by directing interactions, including behavioral management through Connecting principles (TBRI)
Monitor and support children through academic progress
Transport children to/from school, activities, appointments and religious options as necessary.
Assist in managing House and Children's schedule
Complete meal preparation, shopping and house cleaning, or delegate to support staff
Complete daily progress notes and other documentation
Facilitating recreational and social life skills activities for all children
Participate in monthly team meetings and agency wide trainings
Maintain all DES licensing standards
Represent FFYH in the community and through case management opportunities

Qualifications:

Minimum of a High School Diploma, or equivalent, and two years of experience working with children and adolescents.  Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Family Studies or related field and one year's experience in foster/group home or residential treatment center management
At least 21 years of age
If not married, applicant must be female to be considered for our girls home
Preferably having knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, TBRI, Grace Based Parenting
Strong problem solving and group work leadership skills
Ability to interact with all ages and cultural backgrounds
Effective oral and written communication skills, basic computer skills
Ability to work flexible hours and handle stressful situations
Possess an operational vehicle and a valid AZ driver's license
Able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the AZ Dept. of Public Safety and pass a criminal background check
CPR/First Aid Certified (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hiring)
Character/Spiritual
Mature Christian pursuing attendance in a local church.
Agreement with and adherence to FFYH's Statement of Faith

Since 1957, Cookson Hills has provided quality Christian education and nurturing family-style living. Our staff of 48 and many volunteers come together to fulfill our vision; to raise up healthy individuals who are empowered to positively impact future generations.

Cookson Hills is currently seeking a full-time Christian social worker to join our ministry team. Social workers are expected to provide case management to our children, family reunification services, and supervision of house parents. The ideal candidate must be willing to live on campus, serve “on-call” weekends, and be willing to continually improve processes. Social workers work alongside houseparents, teachers, and other team members to ensure we are providing the holistic opportunity each child needs for a well-rounded future.
Requirements:
• Bachelor+ Degree in Social Work or social services related field
• 1–2 years related experience and/or training
OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Adaptable, even-tempered, excellent reasoning ability, and dependable
